The cute reindeer is a chipboard number from Remember When. The stamp is from stampin up, and of course the paper is brought to you by Basic Grey.

I was going to share the numerous Christmas cards I have made, but thought this would spoil the surprise for those of you on my list!!

We bought seasons passes for the swimming pool again this year. Over the summer holidays, the kids are happy to spend the majority of the day at the pool, and it's nice for me to chill with a book, or with a friend just chatting about this and that. The kids are all swim safe, but I think I'll get them into lessons this summer. Just to advance their technique in readiness for school sports and for life skills in general.

I'm soaking up the last few weeks of having Oscar home with me. I'm sooo ready for him to go to school next year, but I'll miss him. He's great company. He has the most wicked sense of humour, and we have a good time when it's just the two of us home. So, while I won't be in tears on his first day (at least I don't think I will!!) I am determined to make the most of these last few weeks of 2007.

Phew

The annual school fair was last night. There's no logical reason why walking around the fair with 3 children should be exhausting, but I came home drained. Lara came home hyped (sugar and excitement) and was still complaining of not being able to sleep at 10.30pm. She'll be one tired little chicky today. Tired and grumpy I think. The kids enjoyed the fair. It was fun, but the flies! Man, they were thick. Enough to incite rage and violence...

The Chrisco came... for some! My freezer is chockers, literally cannot fit another thing in, and we have two big chest freezers. My neighbour, on the other hand, is not getting her frozen food for a few days. Too funny! She has freezer envy...

Okay, will post more later from the other computer and share some stuff I've been working on over the past few days. Might also have an interesting news article to share. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Amazing...

I have been working on Christmas cards today. Can you believe that?? Not long to go now. I have only started Xmas shopping. I traditionally leave it to the last minute, why should this year be any different? LOL

I loved Idol last night. Natalie is gorgeous. She's my fave. I think Matt has a good voice, but he drives me insane with his stupid hair.

Hmmmm, not much else to report. Should be getting the Chrisco stuff in the next few days. We'll be living off that for the next 6 months. Last year we had so much we had to go buy a larger chest freezer.

Whoah...

Where has the time gone???? Thought I should update my blog, only to find it's been nearly a month... In my defence, life has been super busy, and I'm sure it will stay that way until after Christmas now.

The house is almost completely rendered now. I'm still in a quandry as to what colour to paint it. I'm leaning towards brown now... Apparently Steve suggested brown some months ago and I emphatically said, "I am not living in a brown house!". I have no recollection of this statement, so I may or may not have utterred those words. LOL

No bones were broken so all is well that ends well. Could have easily ended in tears though!

The daredevil in question is away in Queensland for an extended weekend, drinking with the boys. He rang me yesterday morning at 11am, and I could tell he was already drunk! Today he's either very sick, or in jail!!!

The street party was a huge hit! The kids just loved the pony.

According to Steve, world peace all hinges on.... wait for it...

BACON!

Yep. Steve has a breakfast fry-up once per week. The other day as he tucked into his eggs, tomatoes,baked beans and bacon on toast he came up with this gem... (It's not 100% politically correct, but if you're a regular reader of this blog, you'll know that neither am I!)

"If Muslims could just eat Bacon, there'd be no terrorism or war. Bacon is awesome! Everything is made better with bacon".

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Don't think he'll gain a political seat based on that theory, but it sure made me laugh.
